I hope everyone's quarantine is going well. It has certainly been an interesting time here at the Griggs house. It turns out that it is much harder to write a book with two kids home all day. We've been making use of our time by doing a lot of gardening and cooking. Today my daughter and I are are trying out a recipe to make homemade spaghetti sauce in a crockpot. Half of the tomatoes came from our very own garden.
My son loves to cook so I bought us a whole chicken and we learned how to break it down together. I had never done this before and it was certainly an interesting experience. He was much better at it than me. It was a little worrying how much he enjoyed cracking the joints apart. Then we made chicken stock with the left over bits. So yummy.
I'm feeling very Little House on the Prairie right now. A domestic goddess come to life.
